This 10000 litre underground water tank is manufactured in the UK from virgin Polyethylene and is used mainly for storing harvested rainwater, however it can also be used for storing water from other sources such as springs and wells.
The ribbed design provides added strength and allows for environmentally friendly pea-gravel backfills, eliminating the need for concrete bases and backfills to be used in most installations.
The tank has been designed to ensure optimal strength and is shorter in height compared to other tanks on the market today. This means that a shallower hole is needed to accommodate the tank (this can be as much as 500mm less).
The tank is available with a choice of either a single neck or twin necks. The advantages of having a twin neck tank are that it allows you to install a rainwater filter in one neck while the other neck can be used for installing a pump or for allowing human access to the tank for maintenance or inspection purposes.
Please note the images above show a twin neck tank. If you choose to have a single neck tank, one of the necks will have a domed top.
Telescopic Neck & Lid/Fitted Tanks
As standard the tank is supplied as a plain tank with no accessories or fittings, however you can choose to add either one or two telescopic necks and lids, or add telescopic necks and lids with a pre-installed filter (fitted tank).
The telescopic neck and lid push fits into the neck of the tank and a rubber seal towards the bottom ensures a tight fit. The telescopic part of the neck can be extended by up to 300mm and can be tilted in any direction by up to 5 degrees.
The fitted tank includes a telescopic neck and lid and a pre-installed filter installed in to the neck of the tank, with DN100 rubber seals drilled in to the flat areas in the middle of the neck section. It is also supplied with a calmed inlet and drainage connections.
The compact filter is suitable for approximately 150M² of roof area. If you have a larger roof area, you can choose to upgrade to a VF-1 filter which is suitable for approximately 450M² of roof area.
The optional DAB Divertron 1000 or DAB Divertron 1200 submersible pump kit includes everything you need to pump stored rainwater from your tank.
The kit includes:
- DAB 1000 Submersible pump with float switch assembly

- 2x Stainless steel 1” jubilee style clips
- 1x 90° 1” to 32mm MDPE fitting

The DAB Divertron 1000 and 1200 pumps are direct pressure pumps, meaning that if it is connected to a tap and the tap is opened, the pressure within the system will drop and the pump will initiate. When the tap is closed, the pressure will build and the pump will turn off.
The pump delivers approximately 4 bar of pressure and up to 3500 litres/hr of flow and features dry run protection as standard. However, a float switch is retrofitted at the factory alleviating any low-level dry running issues, making this a reliable, simple system.

The tank is delivered on a flatbed vehicle and it is the customers responsibility to ensure the tank is safely offloaded from the delivery vehicle. It is recommended that the tank is off-loaded and moved only by machine and not manually handled.
